Guido started working with GIS in 2012 for a capstone project in an EU-financed course about Local Development.

Supports disaster mapping activities since 2017 and Risk and Recovery mapping since 2019 through the interpretation of satellite images via GIS and remote sensing applications for the Copernicus Rapid Mapping project.
Drafting of disaster mapping's best practices (focusing on their implementation in a web framework) and support in web mapping applications.

Principal Technical officer for EEA Spatial Data Themes Action Package 1.

Principal Technical officer in web mapping educational projects.

Holds a Master's degree in "Geography and Territorial Sciences" with a final thesis project on Distance Learning in Remote Sensing: "Workflows for increased learning materials accessibility in a remote sensing e-learning course". Holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology.
