GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist
Emere is currently research fellow at DIST (Polytechnic of Turin), and works regularly with the Energy Department. Among activities, she supports the modelling and design of geographic databases for analysis and representation of energy flows (oil and gas pipelines, powerlines, maritime routes), she is responsible for the production of maps and reports, and she supports the development of web GIS application for data visualization.
She previously collaborated with ITHACA in the production of thematic maps for disaster management, development and implementation of tools and automated GIS procedures for the analysis.
Emere holds a Master’s Degree in Territorial, Urban and Environmental Planning (Polytechnic of Turin, 2013) and a PhD in Urban and Regional Development (Polytechnic of Turin, 2018). During her studies she specialised in design of geographic databases, conflation strategies for data management and network analysis for public and private transport systems.
