ITHACA hosts a delegation from Yangon, Myanmar, in the framework of the SUMP project

On February 4 a delegation composed of 6 representatives of public institutions involved in urban mobility form the city of Yangon visited Ithaca premises as part of their mission to Torino planned within the SUMP (Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning) project.

The project, financed by EuropeAid, is being implemented by the already consolidated partnership of the SWM2 project, namely the City of Torino (consortium leader), ITHACA, the Italian NGO CESVI and the YCDC (Yangon City Development Committee), technically assisted by the Torino public company 5T.

SUMP will run until January 2017 with the primary objective to contribute to shape a more sustainable urban environment in Yangon by directly involving local institutions, citizens and relevant stakeholders for sharing European best practices and expertise in transportation policies and road safety.
