From the 2nd to the 4th of February, users and developers sat together to release the final GeoNode version 2.4. The GeoNode Developers' Summit was split in two sites, one hosted by CNR ISMAR in Venice (Italy) and one hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, D.C.
Among the attendees in Venice there were developers from the World Bank/GFDRR, the European Commission JRC, the UN World Food Programme, ITHACA, GEM, RCMRD, ICRAF Politecnico di Milano and CNR ISMAR.
The first three days the developers worked mainly on bug fixes and general improvements on the beta release. The last day was focused on open GNIPS discussion.
